Welcome to our online resources for high school teachers! We worked with teachers, students, and community partners to create clean energy curriculum for a variety of high school subjects, as well as clean energy workforce resources for students.

Biology: How can we utilize clean energy sources to reduce our impact on the climate?

Students analyze local statistics of common climate measures, build a makeshift power plant from a hair dryer, AA batteries, and sunlight, and measure ways they can reduce their daily fossil fuel usage.

AP Environmental Science: Energy Speed Dating

Students test their compatibility with various types of energy sources and deciding on one that they can most feasibly implement into their life.

English: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility - Clean Energy and Media Literacy

Students explore clean energy by annotating texts, defining vocab, creating a group poster, and presenting their knowledge on their assigned energy source to the class.

English: Human Rights & Historical Fiction WWII Unit Plan

Students learn about historical links between social inequities and climate injustices, explore how renewable energy sources can combat such trends, and build advocacy solutions tying in historical lessons to clean energy solutions.

English: Environmental Justice Awareness and a Clean Energy Future

Students discuss local climate concerns in their communities, write a spoken word poem, and share it with the class.

AVID: Clean Energy Unit

Students learn about clean energy sources and share their knowledge with peers before entering a Socratic Seminar discussion, where they will express their findings from research to the class.

Economics: Economics of Energy

Students explore different energy sources and their costs, determine a job they'd like to pursue, analyze the costs of living across the nation, and present on where they'd like to live.
